Blue Christmas is a sacred and reflective service often held around the longest night of the year. I began leading these services five years ago, initially inspired by my own struggles with the holidays. Unlike my mother, who loved the season despite its personal sorrows, I found the season challenging. While the idea began with my own need for solace, it quickly became a way to support the community.
The Blue Christmas Service creates a space where individuals can come as they are, without any pressure to participate. It’s a gentle invitation to be present in a sacred space, offering comfort and solidarity to those who find the holidays difficult.
